A Global Fusion Music & Arts present in association with Botswana Community UK a Golden Jubilee celebration of Botswana Independence Day on Saturday 1st October 2016 in East London!
It’s been 50 golden years since the man whose romance inspired the film A United Kingdom became the first president of an independent Botswana and Batswana all over the world will be celebrating it with gusto. Come and celebrate Bot50 in East London from 2pm to 11pm at Mycenae House in Greenwich and from 11pm until 3am at St Clair’s Champagne Bar.
Mycenae House is only 8 minutes walk from Westcombe Park Railway Station and St Clair’s Champagne Bar is 2 miles away.
Entrance £10 (concessions £8) – kids free! Braai & traditional food will be served. Online tickets available at wegottickets.com – these will go into a draw to win a substantial prize so it’s a good idea to buy your ticket in advance!

For the main event and the after party we have DJ Wellington Tafirenyika playing traditional and modern music all night. Masego and Aubrei Woki Botswana jazz artists will be performing with their Kalahari Band during the main event . They are such a talented couple and their CD will be available for purchase on the night!
